Le Petit Pré is situated in the tiny hamlet of Villard, surrounded by farmland, lakes and woodland. Villard is a place, where everyone you see will offer a friendly wave of greeting, as they go about their business.

Le Petit Pré occupies the most easterly area of the hamlet, consisting of approx. 3 hectares of meadow and woodland with views as far as Sainte Sevère-sur-Indre 7km away.

Villard "High Street"

A short walk away is the local village of Sazeray, the location of the Mairie, church, infants school and the ever present bread shop (boulangerie).  A village more suited to quiet country walks, where if you are lucky you may see a passing car.

A quick drive, or a leisurely 2km walk and you will come across one of the two local Chateaux, the 14th century 'Chateau du Mont' is privately owned and the subject of ongoing restoration. And to the North you will find the second Chateau, 'Chateau Lavaboneille'.
