Every Wednesday morning, in and around the old covered Marketplace, in the town square,
you will find the farmers' market of Sainte Sevère.
Fresh bread, cheese, meat, fruit and vegetables can be bought from the friendly market
traders of the area. All the produce being freshly picked and prepared in time
for market day.

The skill and pride the local towns-people have in growing the vegetables and the 100%
care they give to their vegetable patches and orchards, really shines through when you
see their produce on display in the market.
Near the marketplace are a couple of bars, the 'Salon du The', and in the side
streets 'Bar le du Guesclin' either
one providing the perfect spot for
a quiet, leisurely sip of white or red wine, and perhaps a baguette to see you through
'til lunch.
It is worth trying the 'Plat du Jour' in the 'Ecu de France' Bar which
can be found on the main street just opposite the marketplace.
They provide good, honest, local fare of four courses with the complimentary 'pichet du vin
rouge' (jug of red!) to complete the meal nicely.
